This is where we list changes to our regular shipping schedule due to events such as mail holidays and extreme weather conditions. In all cases, you will receive an email with tracking information as soon as your order ships.
Our regular shipping hours are Monday through Friday, and we often ship on Saturdays as well. For obvious reasons, we don’t ship on mail holidays.
Most weather-related shipping delays occur near weekends as we aim to reduce the chance that your roaches sit in a hot or cold location unattended. We may delay shipping for significant regional or national weather events, such as heatwaves and major winter storms. We may also delay shipping when major airlines cancel a large number of flights, which is rare and usually weather-related but has occurred for other reasons.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Always consider your local weather when ordering Dubia roaches and other live insects! As a general rule, we do not check destination weather before shipping. The exception is with recurring orders that include temperature control. The best way to receive your insects alive, healthy, and fast when it’s very hot or cold is to follow our guidelines for shipping Dubia roaches in extreme weather. This may include a post office hold for pickup (external link) on your package. You can request this by checking the “Post Office Hold For Pickup” checkbox on the main checkout page.
