Are you looking for a bunch of Dubia roaches in different sizes? Perhaps to start your own colony, or as a gift? Maybe something else? Are you unsure which size you need? Whatever the case, our Dubia Roach Variety Pack is a mix of Dubia nymphs at various stages of development.
You’re likely to get some smalls, some mediums, and so on up to our extra-large, 1-½ inch nymphs. The exact assortment for each order varies depending on the current mix in the colony from which we collect them.
When it’s time to box them up, we pick your roaches somewhat randomly. However, if you want more control over the size of the roaches you receive, choose a size preference from the drop-down menu. We’ll do our best to include more of the sizes you select. We don’t guarantee the exact size mix you’ll receive with this option, but we’re happy to add more of the size you want when possible. Choose “No Preference” for random sizing.
How many Dubia roaches are in 50 grams? It’s hard to predict because it depends on size and feeding status when they’re selected. While each order varies, bulk roaches tend to be a better value than discreet sizes because they require far less processing time.
Dubia Roach Variety Pack Sizing Notes
Here is some reference for nymph sizing in the Variety Pack. The ranges are approximate, but they’re a reasonably good measure of what we mean by “small,” “medium,” and “large.”
- Small = Minis to ½-inch
- Medium = ½ to 1-inch
- Large = over 1-inch
Dubia roaches are superior feeders — nutritionally and in their ease of care and keeping. You can learn more about Dubia roaches in our guidance section, including information about the benefits and advantages of feeding Dubia roaches to your animal(s).

I was so happy that all of them arrived alive! I added them in with my OG colony to help replenish what my bearded dragon has eaten.

All healthy and good size variants.

I am really pleased with my order. There was a big overcount, and all arrived healthy. Wuite a variety of sizes, which is what I wanted.

I never thought I’d be ordering roaches, but I’m happy with my purchase. I look forward to starting my compost!
Johnny
Everything arrived alive everything was as advertised and they fit right into my colony so we should see how they do

I am impressed with the packaging and the health/quality of the insects – only one DOA in the bunch. The variety pack I received had mostly medium-larger sizes, but I’m trying to develop a self-sustaining colony of feeders, so I’m happy to have bigger ones that can begin to reproduce sooner. Overall I recommend, and would buy again.

Arrived alive and with an excellent variety for my colony. Will buy again!

Satisfied with my order. They all arrived alive and have been doing well since. I did notice a tiny nymph got free in the box but I managed to catch it.

I used them to test what size feeder roaches my bearded dragon could eat. Helped me decide what to order next time.

I am obsessed with these roaches. I ordered 2 of the random sizes are good. I was hoping I would get very small to large in the order. I received a bunch of big fat larges. I just ordered a bunch of small sizes and more adults. Very happy with my order. Can’t wait to see the new babies!

Wow! You guys are amazing and never cease to amaze me. I received my order today and there weren’t any DOAs. And there were so many! I must say that I love your packaging technique as well. All were about the same size, which is fine. I’m just adding a fresh bloodline to my colony so there won’t be any inbreeding. Thank you so much! I highly recommend!

Can’t believe I almost didn’t add a variety pack to my order, but I’m so glad that I did! Like the other reviewer, way, way more than I expected, definitely almost 200 and no dead ones. While they are a bit too large for my bearded dragon right now, I’ve added them to my colony so that she can eat them as she grows, or they can grow into a new generation of breeders! An incredible deal for what you get.

Another 5 stars from me for another waaaaay “overcounted” mix. Not a single dead roach. Dubia Roach Depot never lets me down. Thank you!

I am more than happy with choosing this option on my last order of males. First of all the price is amazing as it is, secondly my order was WAY better than I expected. It goes by weight and I decided to choose mixed size to add to my colony, so glad I did. They tell you on the description that its “usually 100 or around that many” with the mixed sized. I counted. I got almost 200 various sized dubias. I’m not saying every order will be the same, but I can give you my experience and mine was this and I am ecstatic! ???? Don’t shop around. This is your place right here. For the amount of feeders they have, they sure do give you that quality “small business” feel. Service, quality, price, quantity are all impeccable. So glad I found you guys. Sorry so long, but THANK YOU!!????
